About

I am a philosopher, born (1981) and raised in New York City. My mother is also a native New Yorker, of mixed northern European ancestry. My father is Persian, and a descendant of the Qajar dynasty of Iran. I attended the Fleming School, the Dalton School, New York University (BA and MA), and received my PhD in Philosophy at the State University of New York, Stony Brook (2013). While living in Manhattan, I taught courses on the History of Philosophy, Heidegger, the History of Iran, Science, Technology and Society (STS), Philosophy of Technology, Comparative Religion, and Ethics at a number of universities in Greater Gotham (New York and New Jersey).

I am the author of seventeen books: including Prometheus and Atlas (2016), World State of Emergency (2017), Lovers of Sophia (2017, republished 2019), Novel Folklore (2017, republished 2019), Iranian Leviathan (2019), Prometheism (2020), Closer Encounters (2021), Promethean Pirate (2022), Artemis Unveiled (2023), Psychotron (2023), Erosophia (2024), Philosophy of the Future (2024), Metapolemos (2025), Thanosis (2025), Fundamental Thinkers (2026), and Occult Horizons (2026). Prometheus and Atlas won the 2016 Book Award of the Parapsychological Association, of which I am an associate member. I am also a member of the Society for Scientific Exploration (SSE). I have done more than a hundred video interviews and podcasts with hosts on various platforms, many of which can be found in this archive of playlists categorized by general subject matter.
